A local 5th grade artist from Ouray wins a first place award at the Montrose Visual Arts Guild art show this month in the 1st –8th grade student division. His choice of medium was acrylic pour painting, using forks, popsicle sticks, and paper to create his masterpieces. In the photo, both larger pieces are the work of our young artist. He currently travels to Montrose each week to work with an artist mentor to hone his current skills and develop new skills. Later this summer, he will also be featured in his own private art showing … as a 5th grader! Keep up the great work!!
