Three local students attend COSLI in July
While many high school sophomores and juniors were hanging out with friends, hitting the pool, or honing their Fortnite skills this summer, three of our local gifted students chose to commit a whole month to developing their leadership skills while earning college credit. Colorado Student Leadership Institute (COSLI) provides an opportunity for young high school students to learn about running a business, recognize the cultural diversity within Colorado, and solve problems that Colorado is currently facing. For the entire month of July, these students worked in teams and individually to complete assignments and challenges which broadened their horizons and educated them on topics not regularly addressed in high school. They tackled such weighty topics as immigration, teen suicide, and rape culture.
