Colorado Gifted Education State Advisory Committee Members Needed

Colorado's gifted education department has a committee made up up members from around the state to advise both the state board of education and our state director on gifted education issues. This committee meets at least five times per year to discuss timely issues pertinent to gifted education in the state. Each congressional district is allowed one representative from each of the following categories - educator, parent, and community member.

Congressional district 3, which makes up most of the western half of the state, currently has openings for both a parent and a community member. If you are interested in helping to direct gifted education at the state level, please visit https://www.cde.state.co.us/gt/gtadvco for more information and to apply. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Michelle at mbarkemeyer@ridgway.k12.co.us .
